Thurs Sept 23rd: iO West Cage Match

So listen. Cagematch is this improv comedy showdown where a challenging group (us) and a returning champion (them) are each given 20 minute sets. Then the audience votes on who they preferred, and the winner comes back the following week.

We are playing against a team who's won forty weeks in a row. As in, 40 of the 52 weeks in a year. They've done 800 minutes of cagematch in a row.

If you're wondering, "if I were to come to one show of yours, which should it be?" Let it be this one. Let it be this one.

8/26 show: Danny Returns + Kiddy Token Boy

Danny Tieger is back from a three-week absence, during which he traveled to Cambodia to teach kids how to write songs and probably had all sorts of life-affirming experiences or whatever.

This show also marks the return of the Renaissance Open, in which we take a word suggestion from the audience and spin it into a song, a poem, and a piece of visual art. Yes, it was designed to make your head spin.

Also featured this week is pip-squeak Max Toubes, the youngest Token Boy to date. I think he's like ten or something? Regardless, we've been told to keep things "G-Rated" this week. Can it be done? Is it even possible?!

Yes. We're all mature here.

5/27 - Younger Statesmen + Token Boy's Bachelorette Party Show!

This week the Younger Statesmen take the 9:PM block, opening for Ashley Opstad's special Bachelorette Party Token Boy show!

Ashley Opstad is the Artistic and Managing Director of the Improv Space. She's a hilarious improviser and a wonderful friend, and we're all super pumped to attend her wedding this weekend.

As you know, each week Token Boy has a guest dude perform with their regular troupe of talented ladies. Not to give away the surprise, but this week their guest is very fleshy and enjoys having dollar bills stuffed down his thong.

This Thursday: Hemp Con video!

This Thursday (4/15) at the Improv Space, we're changing things up by screening a new video of our visit to Hemp Con. It was a weird one.

We won't be posting this one on our YouTube channel, so come see it before it disappears in a puff of magic dragons.

Hammer'd Time: David!

Hey there, I'm David, and I'm going to be doing improv whilst intoxicated this Friday (March 19th) at midnight at the Improv Space.

When I'm drunk, I tend to:

- lose my inhibitions
- defy authority
- sing better
- want to fight you

Shows EVERY Thursday!

Woah, nelly! The Younger Statesmen's improv shows just got so much heftier.

We've upgraded to a weekly show schedule at the Improv Space, now appearing every Thursday night @ 9:45 for a full forty five minutes. That's a whole fifteen minutes longer than our previous shows! We'll use that time to premiere new sketches (both live and filmed), sing silly songs, have special guest appearances, and lord knows what else. You should be very excited.

We're also pleased to be billed with our esteemed female friends in Token Boy, who perform ahead of us every Thursday night at 9:PM. This week's Token Boy is none other than our very own Danny Tieger. It's gonna get sensual. RSVP to the event via Facebook.
